About me
Jorge Nazario, MD, comes to EliteCare with well over 20 years of primary care experience with 10+ years in pain management and hospice care experience. In Florida, he practiced at Carrousel Therapy Center in St. Cloud.
He received his medical degree (MD) from Pontificia Catholic University, Madre y Maestra, Santiago, Dominican Republic. He also obtained credits in Mechanical Engineering and Human Biology at the University of Puerto Rico RUM.
Prior to his arrival in Florida, Dr. Nazario practiced at a primary care physician with more than 700 patients. He also served patients in Puerto Rico as a primary care physician, emergency physicians, and medical director of a home care and hospice. He moved to Florida to be close to his children and began a new mission with geriatric patients, who are his passion.
He was awarded the designation of “Adoptive Son”, by the office of the mayor of Naranjito, PR, for his 27 years of service to the town. Dr. Nazario was also recognized by his hometown of Ponce for his medical service.
In his spare time, his passion for music and auto mechanics keeps him busy. He also enjoys keeping his youngest son (also a physician) company by playing golf.
Dr. Nazario is bilingual in both Spanish and English.
